Sometimes, you have to be the first to create a category before a record can be set. Let's start with one of the most recent Guinness World Record holders.

Most Lanyards Worn at One Time

Guillermo Rodriguez began working in 2003 at the Hollywood Boulevard studios for late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a parking lot security guard.

Rodriguez became a U.S. citizen in 2005, and now performs nightly as Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick. He also had a cameo appearance in the credits of the 2020 movie Bill & Ted Face the Music.

In 2015, Rodriguez created a new record category for the most lanyards worn at once during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance at the South by Southwest festival in Austin. Kimmel put on the 300th lanyard, creating the official new record, then Rodriguez got a plaque to commemorate his feat, seen here on a video shared by Austonia.com.

Fastest Sandwich Made Using Feet

Rob Williams of Austin became the fastest person to make a sandwich with his feet in 2000. He managed to put bologna, cheese, lettuce, and bread together, then added olives on cocktail sticks as a garnish in just under two minutes, using only his toes. The finished product was created in one minute and 57 seconds in front of a live audience.

Don't worry, before creating this culinary masterpiece with those very nimble tootsies, he washed his feet with soap and water! Sally, an audience member at Zach Scott Theater in Austin, got the 'privilege' of sampling the record-breaking sandwich after it was created by Williams, a member of the comedy group Kamikaze Fireflies.

Most Haircuts in One Hour

Barber Ivan Zoot is a human haircutting machine. He managed to finish 34 haircuts in a single hour at the Men's Grooming Center in Austin in 2008. That's a lot of hair!

Who Are The 5 Richest People in Texas, Not Counting Elon Musk?

There are more billionaires in America than in any other country, according to Stacker. For some people, the money just keeps pouring in, as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2026.

However, Bezos is not the world's richest person right now. That title goes to the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk. Musk owns a mansion in Austin but says his main home is a $50,000 rental from SpaceX in Boca Chica, Texas.

Forbes lists 63 billionaires in Texas, including Elon Musk. Let's find out who's at the top of the list in the Lone Star State for 2022, right behind Musk.

Bet You Didn't Know: 10 Bizarre Texas Laws Still on the Books

Many states still have strange laws on the books that aren’t enforced or taken seriously anymore, and Texas is no exception.

Most of these laws are just funny now, but at one time, there was a valid (or at least somewhat valid) reason for them to exist.

Texas has plenty of strange rules and regulations that you could technically be prosecuted for if you violate them, since they've never been amended. Some of these are only for specific cities and not state-wide, but all of them are pretty odd!

Let's take a look at 10 of the weirdest ones in the Lone Star State.
