If you've always thought you ought to participate in a 5k but have always been too lazy, then you should check out the Boerne 0.5k!

This year's race happens on Saturday May 5th to benefit Blessings in a Backpack: Feeding the Future of America. The event proved such a popular draw that it's already sold out, so you'll have to look at participating next year.

Why would you want to? Because there's little to no running involved, and they give you beer!

The run begins at the Dodging Duck Brewhaus in Boerne and ends at the Cibolo Creek Brewing. That's about a 6-minute walk. There's a hydration station halfway between the two, where you can grab a beer and some snacks and have a cigarette if you feel like it.

One of the perks of the race is that participants get a free beer at the Dodging Duck and at Cibolo, as well as a t-shirt and a "hipster" sticker for being a part of the non-race.

People who pay for the VIP package just get all that stuff anyway, and don't have to move at all. Talk about lazy!

Boerne is a suburb of San Antonio, and is not too far from the Central Texas area. So if you are interested in signing up or more details about the race, check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/1658559264222843/
