I was just reading this morning that according to a new ayeaye survey, 20% of people say that you have to have lived in a state anywhere from 1 to 10 years in order to 'adopt' that state and say you are from there. Thankfully I'm a native Texan so I don't have to worry about that but remember last year when billionaire Elon Musk announced that he had relocated to Texas?

It has been almost a year since he moved to the Lone Star State. The multi-billionaire  made the announcement last December that he was moving to (Boca Chica Village) but chose to rename it Starbase, TX.

So have we accepted him yet? lol I would say most definitely YES because Forbes just released their 'Richest People in America' list and Mr. Musk comes in at number 2 just below recent Van Horn, TX guest Jeff Bezos. Musk is reportedly worth $190 billion. Congratulations fellow Texan!

Now how about this? Did you know that (according to the Forbes list), the richest woman in America is also from Texas? I'm not mad at Texas slayin' the competition! Bring some of those billions over here.

Her name is Alice Walton. Ring a bell? Wal, Wal, oh Walmart perhaps? Bingo! She is the heiress to the Walmart fortune worth a whopping $67 billion. Again, referring back to my ayeaye survey, Alice was not born in TX but has been here since the late 90's and within the last few years, has made her home in Fort Worth, TX.

It is definitely true when they say 'everything is bigger in Texas,' including the bank account of Elon and Alice. Yeehaw!
