Three Years After Being in a Coma, This Guy is Able to Fulfill His Dream
Kelcie and Larry were high school sweethearts who, above all, were best friends. Things were going great until one night, when a drunk driver hit Larry and put him in a coma. Years later, after a lot of therapy, he was finally able to fulfill one of his dreams.
In the video above, Kelcie's sister recounts the romance between the two and the tragedy that befell them. It seems that on the night that he was hit by a drunk driver, Larry showed Kelcie's sister the ring he was going to use to propose to Kelcie during a group vacation to Disneyland. Unfortunately, the accident left him in a coma for a few months.
Upon waking, Larry began the long road to recovery with Kelcie by his side, supporting him the whole way through. More than three years later, he's now in a wheelchair and has made excellent progress. Because of this, he decided to finally pop the question he had been meaning to ask three years ago and proposed to her. What's even better is that he still had that same ring he was going to use, all those years ago.
Although he couldn't pop the question at Disneyland like he originally planned, some of the couple's friends and family helped raise some money with an Indiegogo campaign to send the kids on their way to meet the Mouse. So now they'll be having both their wedding and honeymoon at Disneyland! If that doesn't warm the cockles of your heart, then we don't know what will.
