Tornado Watch in Effect for Central Texas Until 6 PM

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for much of Central Texas until 6 PM.

Showers and thunderstorms were expected in our area before 5 PM, after which severe thunderstorms are possible. Wind gusts as high as 25 mph are possible.

The Tornado Watch includes 21 counties, of which 16 are in our listening area:

Sean Bellafiore with our news and weather partner, KWTX-TV, warned of the possibility of dime to quarter sized hail as these storms pass through our area.
