Two Men Arrested in Waco Murder For Hire Case
Two men were in custody Friday, charged in connection with a deadly robbery and shooting at a Waco convenience store in 2015.
According to KWTX, Keith Antinoe Spratt, 28, and Tyler Sherrod Clay, also 28, have been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Joshua Ladale Pittman, 37, on December 23, 2015.
Police found Pittman's body inside Pick N Pay Food Mart, 504 Faulkner Lane. Investigators say Pittman was involved in several robberies, including one targeting Clay. He reportedly set Spratt up to be robbed as well.
On the day of his death, Pittman was playing a gamin machine in the Pick N Pay when Spratt reportedly approached him and fired a weapon several times, hitting Pittman in the face and upper torso.
KWTX reports that Spratt was arrested Thursday afternoon when a patrol officer spotted him walking in the area of North 10th Street and Colcord Avenue. Clay was arrested Thursday evening at a smoke show he owns in the 1300 block of Dallas Street.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
