Two of Texas’ Most Wanted Were Captured in March
Two of Texas' most wanted criminals were back behind bars this month.
24-year-old Zachary Michael Boyett was arrested in Dallas on March 20. He'd been wanted since August of 2018 for a parole violation and failing to register as a sex offender after leaving Sulpher Springs and not informing law enforcement.
In 2015, Boyett was convicted of aggravated sexual assault after an incident involving a 13-year-old girl.
Jeremy Edwin Evans, 31, was captured in New Orleans on March 12. He'd been wanted since January 2018 for a parole violation, and a month later was also wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after leaving Bryan, Texas. His history includes aggravated robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful carrying a weapon, disorderly conduct and burglary of a habitation.
So far in 2019, DPS and other agencies have arrested five of Texas's 10 most wanted fugitives and sex offenders, including three sex offenders and one gang member. $5,000 in rewards have been paid for Crime Stoppers tips that resulted in arrests.
