Two teenage suspects from a Monday night burglary were arrested in Killeen Tuesday morning after losing control of a stolen truck.

According to Kathleen Serie with our news partner KWTX, authorities received a call about a pickup truck having crashed into a pole in the vicinity of Elms Road and Hereford Lane shortly before 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Killeen police said the driver of the truck attempted to take a left turn off of Elms onto Hereford and lost control of the vehicle.

The caller, who was across the street at a daycare, told police she saw two men fleeing the scene after the crash. Officers soon located the pair and took them into custody.

Police believe the truck stolen during a burglary Monday night, and that the two suspects were involved in that crime.
