Easter pageants and reenactments of the Passion are enduring traditions associated with Christianity's holiest observance. The students of UMHB are continuing their own time-honored tradition through an annual labor of love.

The University of Mary Hardin Baylor 77th Easter Pageant is happening Wednesday, March 23rd on campus at the Luther Memorial. There are three performances, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm and each is free to the public.

According to the University, "Currently, the pageant is student-directed and produced. The presentation is staged on the Wednesday afternoon prior to Easter Sunday. The role of Christ, one of the highest honors afforded UMHB students, is cast by the university president." It all started in the spring of 1940.
