If you want to do a little acting and help your community, the City of Killeen could use you early next month.

You don't have to be a professional or have any prior experience. You just need to be 18 or over and willing to play a victim, family member, or member of the media as the City conducts a regional emergency training exercise on Tuesday, May 7.

City personnel will run through simulations to prepare them for responding to and managing emergencies, and it'll be your job to help make it all a little more realistic.

If you're interested in participating, you'll need to pre-register by Wednesday, April 24 and be available between 6:30 AM and 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 7. If you're selected, you'll be notified by Monday, April 29.

The City of Killeen Office of Emergency Management coordinates citywide response to large-scale emergencies and disasters. In advance of emergencies, the office works to educate the public, connect resources and train personnel. Preparedness can help reduce the impacts of emergency events and speed recovery efforts.
