Warming Stations In The CenTex Is In Need Of Volunteers and Donations
As the temperature continues to drop, several warming stations are being opened around the CenTex.
Wednesday night, warming stations opened in Temple and Killeen. Before the pandemic, facilities would open overnight and close by 8 a.m., and during the day, the homeless would stay at the Temple Library. With the library being closed due to COVID-19, Impact Church will remain open 24/7.
According to KWTX, the Temple Homeless Taskforce asks for volunteers and donations to make it through the next couple of days.
With Impact Church and the Salvation Army offering the homeless a place to sleep, shower, and do laundry, items like sleeping bags, pillows, coats, blankets, gloves, hats, and assistance with meals are needed.
If you can volunteer or donate, contact Deni Howard 254-458-2091 (Impact Church) or Ebony Freeman (254-379-5615) (Salvation Army).
Be a blessing to those in need!
