Weather causes deadly crash in Central Texas
A fatal car crash occurred last Friday on the highway between Waco and Valley Mills, and the culprit wasn't even driving.
The severe rain at the time caused a sedan heading southbound to skid into the northbound lane and crash head-on with an 18 wheeler.
Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the accident to discover the driver of the sedan was dead. They quickly escorted the truck driver to the Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco to get looked at for injuries.
This drastic change in weather is causing issues for Central Texas. This past week we had burning days in the high 80's and 90's only for the temperature to drop off on Friday into the low 50's with cold rain.
It's that lovely time of the year again that all Central Texans know well when their home can't make up it's mind on what temperature it wants to be.
