Temple police were on the lookout for a suspect after a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery.

Temple PD spokesperson Ellen Morton says officers were dispatched to the Wells Fargo branch at 3407 South 31st Street at 2:57 PM. Thankfully no injuries were reported, but the suspect had fled the scene by the time police arrived.

The suspect was described as a black man standing at 5'8" with a medium or large build. He was last seen wearing camo pants and a dark colored hoodie.

Morton is asking anyone with information to contact the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500. Information can also be submitted to Bell County Crime Stoppers at bellcountycrimestoppers.com, via the P3Tips app, or by calling (254) 526-8477.

Citizens are cautioned not try to apprehend or detain this suspect. If you see him or have any information about him or the robbery, please contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The case remained under investigation Wednesday evening. Morton said more information would be provided as it becomes available.
