Woman Could Face Two Years in Jail For Throwing Cup of Ice at Child
45-year-old Christina Price from Midland, TX was arrested Sunday after allegedly throwing a cup of ice at a child's face.
She's since been released on bond for a state felony charge on injury to a child who is under the age of 14. According to Price, she had permission to discipline the youth in the household. When she and the child were arguing Price reportedly threw a 20-oz paper cup with some ice in it. The ice struck the child in the face, according to her arrest affidavit.
A witness told the police that striking a child with a cup "did not constitute reasonable discipline."
If Price is found guilty of the state felony, she may face up to two years in jail.
