
Woman Killed by Train in Killeen
A woman was killed in Killeen Tuesday night after she was hit and dragged by a train.
Police arrived at the railroad crossing of 10th Street around 11:45 p.m. after receiving a report of the woman having been hit. They found the woman’s body on the south side of the tracks around 100 feet east of the crossing.
According to a preliminary investigation, the woman attempted to cross the railroad on foot, fell down and was hit and dragged by the train. Investigators found no identifying information on the woman’s remains.
A spokesperson with the Killeen Police Department said the crossing’s lights and barriers were working properly.
