Woman Struck and Killed By Train in Nolanville
Our news partners at KWTX are reporting a fatality in Nolanville Thursday evening as a woman was struck and killed by a train near the 5th Street railroad crossing.
When paramedics arrived they found the woman under the train. She was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Judge Bill Cooke just after 9pm last night.
This is the 3rd time a person has been struck and killed by a train in Bell County this year. Nolanville Police Chief Dan Porter told KWTX that, " As this area of Bell County grows, I'm afraid that we have more exposure to these kinds of incidents, just because you have more people competing with the trains and people just need to be careful and be aware of their surroundings."
The woman was from the area, but her name has not been released.
