Temple is home to beautiful buildings both old and new, and your best photo of one of those buildings could win you a trophy or ribbon.

Citizens of all ages are welcome to participate in the 2nd Annual Temple Architectural Appreciation Photography Contest. Just choose any building in Temple you feel has historic appeal, take a photo, then either print it at 8"x10" size with a frame no larger than 11"x14" or submit a digital copy at woobox.com/7a288k.

If you print and frame, make sure you include this info on the back: Your name, your phone number, your email address, the name and address of the building (if possible).

You can submit up to 3 printed entries and 3 digital. Just make sure they're in before 5 PM Friday, March 27. (Note: By submitting a photo, you'll be giving the City of Temple permission to use it on social media and in various promotions.)

The contest is open to all skill levels, so even f you're not a professional photographer you should definitely submit your favorite shot of your favorite historic Temple building.

You can find more information about the contest here.

The photo above is one I snapped with a DSLR a few years ago. It's been resting on my Instagram page since. I need to find the original and submit it. Even if it doesn't win, it'd be fun to share it with the Temple community.
