1 Killed, 4 Injured in Stabbing at Private Church Service in Corpus Christi
One man was killed and four others injured Wednesday evening after a 28-year-old man began stabbing people at a private church service being held inside a Corpus Christi home.
The Corpus Christi Caller Times reports that police arrested Marco Antonio Moreno on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Caller Times, officers were called to the home shortly after 7 PM, where they discovered five stabbing victims. One victim - 61-year-old Frank Castillo - passed away as a result of his injuries at a nearby hospital.
According to the Associated Press, a 54-year-old pastor was stabbed in the chest, and a member of the church's music group was stabbed in the neck. Both were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Two other men were reportedly cut while trying to pull Moreno off the pastor.
