Three adults have been charged and one juvenile suspect is in custody in connection to the murder of Rocky Wayne Marsh at Killeen's Morgan Manor Apartments Tuesday night.

According to a news release authored by Killeen PD Public Relations Officer Ofelia Miramontez, bond has been set at $1 million for 17 year-old Shamar Lamar Lewis and 21-year-old James Tyshawn Pinkard of Killeen, as well as 21-year-old Erica Lane Brownlee of Houston. All three face capital murder charges.

Lewis was apprehended Thursday after police issued a media release asking for the public's help finding him. According to Miramontez, Pinkard was arrested at a home in the 2000 block of Shoemaker Drive, and Brownlee was already in the Killeen City Jail on an unrelated charge.

Miramontez did not say what charges the juvenile suspect faced, but stated they were being held in the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center.

The charges were filed by the Bell County District Attorney's Office after a review of evidence from local investigators and the Texas Rangers.

According to police, Marsh was approached by several people, robbed, and brutally attacked at 1506 Budrant Drive around 8 PM Tuesday night. First responders found him lying unresponsive and not breathing. He was transported to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights, where he later passed away.

The Killeen Daily Herald reported Friday that Marsh was a father of three and a chef at Outback Steakhouse.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Marsh's family. There's no making sense of how anyone can have so little regard for human dignity and life that they'd commit such a heinous crime.
