A 10-car crash just south of Troy stalled northbound I-35 traffic Monday morning.

Thomas Pechal with Temple Fire and Rescue said emergency responders were dispatched to the scene just north of Mile Marker 306 at 6:31 AM. 16 people were involved in the crash. Thankfully, only one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries. That person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Pechal said the scene was cleared shortly before 9 AM.

KWTX's Tiana Maya spoke with Temple Police Department Spokeswoman Shawana Neely, who said a disabled vehicle on the side of the road was hit by another car, which was then hit by another, causing a chain reaction.
