15 Arrests Made in Central Texas Human Trafficking Sting
The Bell County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that nine women were rescued by UnBound of Waco and the Refugee Services of Texas of Austin.
Three Central Texas residents from Killeen were all charged with promotion of prostitution. The three charged with promotion of prostitution were Cecil Smith, Randall Steele and Larry Golden.
There were a couple people out of the DFW area apprhended, and charged with human trafficking in the sting. The two people were Billy Shell of Dallas, and Tatyana Clemens of Arlington.
Bell County Sheriff's Department said there were ten other men arrested for roles in human trafficking as well. Bell County Sheriff's Department said those men were, "Bobby Boaldin of Goldthwaite; Antonio Hampton of Killeen; David Kulhankek, an Army corporal; Melvin Johnson of Austin; William Czebeley of Temple; Christopher Saw of Copperas Cove; Gabriel Gomez of Harker Heights, who was ordered held on an immigration detainer; Omar Cherry of Harker Heights; Roshan Bhakta of Killeen, and Myles Broadnax, an Army specialist."
