18-Wheeler Fire Causes Salado Traffic Snarl
Southbound I-35 traffic through Salado was slow Monday morning after a truck hauling frozen food caught fire.
KWTX's Kathlnee Serie reports that around 6:30 AM, an 18-wheeler driver was traveling south through Salado when he noticed flames between his cab and his trailer. He stopped near exit 283 and tried to extinguish the flames, but was unsuccessful.
The flames spread to the entire vehicle, and fire fighters were called to bring the fire under control.
The driver was not injured, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday morning.
