3 out of 4 People In Killeen Would Pass A Test About Texas History
How well do you know the basic history of the great state of Texas?
3 out of 4 of you Texas natives will probably pass a quiz if randomly asked. In fact, a recent nation-wide quiz showed that Texans are some of the best in the country when it comes to knowing the history of their home state.
Can't you see your teachers and college professors smiling proudly at you?
The great people over at Solitaired.com gave a national test to almost 4,000 people across the country about their state's history.
Good news: 3 out of 4 people (75%) from Texas (including Killeen) passed.
Questions include:
- How many flags have flown over Texas? (Do you know?)
-Where's the first major oil well located in Texas? (Tough one for me!)
-What year did the Nasa Space Program begin in Texas?
-Where was the last battle of the American Civil War?
-Who is considered the father of "Texas Education"?
If you are from Texas and don't know the answer to these questions, bow your head in shame.
Below is a map of all states and a five-question quiz about their state's history, including the Texas quiz.
You may be surprised what you'll learn about another state's past.
On the other hand, if you couldn't answer the Texas questions and you were born and raised in the Lone Star State, what makes you think you can answer another state's questions?
I guess it's worth a try, right?
