Shooting Pool Is One Of My Hobbies

I have been shooting pool, for as long as I can remember. I received a miniature pool set for a Christmas gift when I was about 8 or 9 years old, and my love for the game was born.

As the year passed, I got older and started visiting the more "adult" pool halls.

These pool halls were where people smoked cigarettes, and at that time I couldn't stand smelling cigarette smoke. I got tired of coming home smelling like cigarettes, so I stopped playing completely.

I'm very extra and dramatic when shooting pool.

Sometimes I'm the equivalent of a Harlem Globetrotter player on the pool table, hitting fancy impossible shots.

Above Average Pool Player

I can pull a lucky shot off (every 6 tries or so), or I can flat out not do good.

But I try really well!

I would be classified as just an above-average pool player.

The Billiard Congress Of America

Did you know there was an organization called The BCA?

I had no idea this was even a thing, but after a search for "The history of shooting pool" I discovered the Billiards Congress Of America.

According to the site, it's all things billiards.

Thinking of this episode and detailing my love and hate relationship with shooting pool, (I've been shooting pool more in the past few years than I have in ages), I figured I would let you know about a few pool halls here in the Killeen area.
