A Really Tiny Dog is our Pet of the Week
Our Pet of the Week only weighs about 3 pounds. He is a Toy Yorkshire Terrier named Alley. Yes there is a face under all that fur!
Alley is an older dog, a stray estimated to be between 10 and 15 years old. He still has some spring in his step, but he is content to just lay in your lap and be petted. Alley would fit perfectly in a purse. He really needs a forever home to live out his last few years.
Alley is neutered, leash trained and house broken. He is full of love and since he has been at the shelter Officer Hetzel says they haven't heard a peep out of him.
Alley would be perfect in a nice quiet household with somebody who just needs a lap dog.
You can visit with Alley at the Temple Animal Shelter, (620 Mama Dog Circle). They have plenty of younger, active dogs, and cats too.
If you don't live in Temple, check out the animal shelters and pet rescue operations in your town. Rescue Magazine.org can help you find those places.
