Temple police say a brick thrown from a car partially shattered the windshield of a tow truck Monday afternoon.

Temple police spokeswoman Ellen Morton told our news partners at Channel 10 that the incident was reported to authorities around 3:10 PM.

First Call Auto Recovery tow truck was in the 22000 block of Southwest H K Dodgen Loop when the brick was thrown. The object impacted the lower corner of the driver's side of the windshield just next to the registration sticker.

The driver of the tow truck wasn't able to provide a description of the suspect, but did say it was a black Dodge Charger traveling west.

Temple police say they are investigating this matter separately from the other rock throwing incidents that have occurred in the area.

Waco native Keila Flores, 33, died after a rock was thrown from an Interstate 35 overpass on March 9th.

The following Tuesday, another driver reported a rock having been thrown from an overpass, striking his vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured in that incident.

Police have confirmed that on that same Tuesday morning, March 12, objects including a rock and eggs were thrown from a overpass along I-14/US-190 in Belton.
