Briles Speaks Out on Baylor Allegations for The First Time
After months of speculation and scuttlebutt, former Baylor Coach Art Briles has issued a letter to the media vehemently denying he covered up incidents of sexual violence.
According to reports, the letter was originally slated for the campus newspaper. We were alerted to its existence from our news partner, KWTX-TV Channel 10.
"Despite the insistence of certain people, I can remain silent no longer. There is an onslaught of information coming out in the press that is inaccurate," Briles was quoted as saying. He denied any wrongdoing.
This letter comes just one day after it was announced the Texas Rangers would be investigating the Baylor program. If that wasn't enough, Women's Basketball Coach Kim Mulkey was blasted in the media days ago for her comments which seemed insensitive to the victims and female athletes.
