Bruceville-Eddy Resident is Now a Millionaire
Someone in Bruceville-Eddy is a million bucks richer after picking up a scratch-off ticket in Gatesville.
In a media release issued Tuesday, the Texas Lottery Commission said the winning 50X The Cash scratcher ticket was purchased at CEFCO #31 at 101 Highway 36 Bypass N. in Gatesville.
The prize was the second of three million dollar totals that can be claimed in that particular game, so there's still a winning ticket floating around somewhere.
The Bruceville-Eddy winner chose to remain anonymous. That was probably a wise choice, though it's such a small and close-knit community that I'm sure they'll have some friends and family hitting them up soon.
I have no way of knowing what the winner would buy with their prize, but personally, BV-E is just the sort of place I'd move if I won. I miss country living, and would buy a few acres and a cozy little house to plant right in the middle of the land far away from people and noise.
