I've heard a lot of people state that there is nothing worse than being stuck in traffic. And after some extensive research, I've found that... um well, that it's not true at all, but there isn't anything fun about it either.

If you commute through Temple on I-35 and have dealt with traffic due to all of the construction of late, I have some news that will make you smile. The majority of the roadside construction is or will be done shortly. And you can celebrate that fact with the City of Temple tonight at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center.

The 'Drive and Thrive' event will be open to the public. The City of Temple's website wants you to come out and "Mingle with the merchants who make Temple the ideal place to eat, meet, sleep, shop and play!"

It will be from 5 pm to 7 pm, just make sure you leave a little early there might be some traffic, you know construction and what not.
