Central Texas Man Arrested for Wearing Donald Trump Hat While Voting
Before you go to vote, you should be aware of one rule, or law as it were.
Texas State Law prohibits "the posting, use, or distribution of political signs or literature" within 100 feet of a polling place — and this includes clothes. This is according to Cynthia Jaqua, Comal County elections coordinator.
Brett Mauthe, 55, would've liked to have had this information before he went to "early vote". According to the Dallas Morning News, Brett was arrested and charged with electioneering at a polling place in Bulverde, just north of San Antonio.
It seems he removed his hat when asked, but refused to turn his shirt inside out, which said "Basket of Deplorable" on it.
