Central Texas Man Arrested in Online Sex Sting

KWTX reported that Woodway authorities arrested a Central Texas man caught up in an online sex sting.

The man arrested was Jimmy Lee Smith, 33. Smith is a Moody resident, and was arrested at his home on Monday on charges of online solicitation of a minor.

The arrest came after Woodway authorities pretended to be a 16 year old girl on a social media site. Woodway authorities said, a man who requested “several sexually explicit photographs also sent sexually offensive images of himself."

Woodway policemen repeated several times the age of the girl, and also said that he could get in trouble. Smith also was asking "the girl" to delete the messages as well.
