Central Texas Needs To Take Covid-19 More Seriously, Please

I’m not exactly sure what it’s gonna take for Central Texas to realize that COVID-19 is absolutely real. This virus is not a joke, this is not a test, this is not something to take lightly - the virus is absolutely real.

A lot of people ask if it’s so life-threatening or if it’s so dangerous, why are they allowing our children to go back to school and the states to open back up? My answer to that is simple: I’ve never been a very political person, nor have I ever been an educator, but I do the saying, "it’s not personal it’s just business".

BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

There’s a lot of funding that goes into schools, and there’s a lot of money missing when companies are closed. I've witnessed COVID with love ones, and I can tell you from my experience that it is absolutely nerve-racking knowing that you could fall asleep from not feeling good, then not be able to wake up due to the fact that you got a potentially deadly disease. A lot of these deaths can be caused by someone who simply didn’t want to wear a mask or felt like this was nothing more than just a myth.

People of Central Texas, I say this with desperation and fear in my voice: COVID-19 is not going anywhere anytime soon, and not taking the proper precautions only allows the virus to run amok and cause new unfortunate and unexpected deaths. Make the right decision and use thoughtfulness and caution when you’re out and about, and even at home. COVID-19 is very real and it’s spreading.
