City of Temple Offices Closing for Presidents' Day

Wouldn't it be nice to have Presidents' Day off? If you work for some City of Temple offices, you're in luck. If you planned to visit the Temple Public Library or Railroad and Heritage Museum Monday, well...not so much.

City offices are closing Monday, February 19 in honor of George Washington.

Here's a list of what's closed and what'll remain open:

Emergency services and solid waste routes, to include brush and bulk and the curbside recycling program, will continue to operate without interruption.

Animal Services, to include surrenders, reclaims and adoptions, will be closed on Monday and reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Temple Public Library will be closed on Monday and will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Parks and Recreation Facilities will be open the following hours on Monday:

Administration - closed

Clarence Martin Gym - closed

Mayborn Civic and Convention Center - closed

Gober Party House - closed

Lions Junction - closed

Visitor Center - closed

Summit Recreation Center - 5 am – 10 pm

Sammons Golf Links - 7 am– dusk

Sammons Community Center - 8 am – 5 pm
