The number of COVID-19 cases was lowering.

Businesses that closed during the pandemic opened at half capacity, then 75%, then full capacity.

Then a COVID -19 vaccine was developed.

After the rollout, I saw the mask requirement signs come down from businesses, then the social distancing markers on the floors of stores got removed, live music events being planned, and according to KWTX, The Bell County Health District even paused on giving its daily updates back in May, but had to resume July 9th due to the uptick in cases of COVID.

As far as the vaccine, there are people who got it with no question, and there are some that even lost their job when chose not to take the shot.

I now see signs that people who got the vaccine don't have to wear the mask.

(Well how do they know if someone got vaccinated? It's not like they're asking you to prove it.)

In my opinion, it's all confusing.

What's not confusing is the COVID-19 variant is spreading, and it's more contagious than the original strain, specifically in Central Texas.

In fact, the CDC upgraded the virus from "variant of interest" to "variant of concern."

KWTX reports that the number of active cases of COVID-19 has risen 40%, and Bell County accounts for 60% of cases in the region, with almost 400 new cases from over the past weekend.

Seeing as how the cases are spreading, and in such a quick fashion, here's where we need to be concerned.

As of Monday, July 19th, 2021, there were 499 active cases of COVID in Bell County according to The Bell County Health District.

The question, I ask is:

Do we even care that COVID cases are increasing?

We SHOULD be paying attention to this.

While I am not for another shutdown, I am in favor of bringing back social distancing mandates and mask requirements. (This video does a great job of debunking a lot of the myths about mask effectiveness.)

KVUE talked to two doctors who encouraged people to get the vaccine, stating the shot helps to fight off this new strain of COVID.

I recommend we take these social distancing measures now, so the rest of our year and our indoor and outdoor gatherings are salvaged!

Here Are 11 New Edition Classics That Are Undeniable

These Are 11 Songs by the R& B Group, New Edition Classic Songs That Are Undeniable

New Edition was formed in the late 1970s in The Roxbury area of Boston Massachusetts.

Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant and Ricky Bell were the original members in the group when their first manager Brooke Payne added his nephew Ronny Devoe.

The group experienced their share of ups and downs over the years including them booting member Bobby Brown out of the group and later adding Johnny Gill, changing managers because of shady contracts, drug abuse, hitting rock bottom and coming back into success.

Bobby Brown went on to have a rather successful run as a solo artist selling more than 20 million albums.

Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant both went solo after the group broke up in the late 1980s, with Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronny Devoe starting their own solo group Bell, Biv, Devoe.

They released a comeback album in 1996 entitled Home Again and their last album with Bad Boy Records in 2004 called "One Love."

In 2017 BET released a biopic on the group and later released a biopic on the life of Bobby Brown.

The legendary group would go on to release 8 studio albums (Including one Christmas album) selling over 10 million albums worldwide.

They recently signed an agreement with CAA who has announced a future Las Vegas Residency and a national tour.

Needless to say, they are all back!

Here are 11 songs made from New Edition you can't deny!
