Dota 2 Player Robbed at Gunpoint While Streaming Video Online
Several online gamers around the globe witnessed a home invasion robbery that occurred Monday morning in Tempe, Arizona as it streamed via webcam.
In the video, Dota 2 player Nikki Elise, who streams footage of her gameplay under Twitch handle Sajedene, can be seen responding to loud knocking on her door before a man with a gun orders her to the ground. The suspect appears on camera at one point, but his face is out of frame.
Fellow gamers watching the stream were unable to contact her local law enforcement because they didn't know where Elise lived, but a friend of the victim was able to contact police. Officers arrived just in time to find one suspect still near the scene. He was captured after a short pursuit on foot, but an additional suspect remains at large.
Fortunately, Elise was not injured.
