Drowned Man’s Body Recovered from Temple Lake Park Sunday Evening
Temple police are investigating a drowning that occurred at Temple Lake Park Sunday afternoon.
At 5:57 PM, Temple Fire and Rescue reported that a man had been seen going under water and not coming back up around 4:57 PM.
Temple Police, Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens, Bell County Sheriff's Office, US Army Corps of Engineers, Temple Fire & Rescue, Morgan's Point Resort Fire Department, Morgan's Point Resort Police Department, and Temple EMS all responded to Temple Lake Park and a search ensued.
The victim was recovered at 6:30 PM. A spokesperson with Temple Fire and Rescue reported that the drowned man was in his mid-20's. The man's name had not been made public as of this article's publication Sunday evening.
A Justice of the Peace had was called to the scene soon after the man's body was retrieved from the water.
