Firefighters Battle Massive Grass Fire Near Draughon-Miller Airport in Temple
A huge column of smoke was visible west of Temple Wednesday afternoon as area fire crews battled a grass fire near Draughon-Miller Airport.
According to our news partner, KWTX, the fire was reported shortly after 12:30 PM along Airport road between Research Blvd and Highway 317. The fire seemed mostly contained by 1:45 PM.
KCEN reports that Moffat firefighters were assisting Temple fire crews, and that a downed power line may have sparked the blaze.
