Another Wildcat playoff win means we are here for another edition of the Temple Wildcat Coaches Show. The Temple Wildcats were successful in their 2nd Round playoff game with a win over the Magnolia West Mustangs by a score of 41-13.

In this edition of the Temple Wildcat Coaches Show, Coach Scott Stewart and myself Oliver Stone, discussed the win over the Mustangs and also the challenges they face coming forward.

The Wildcats offense and defense just allowed the Mustangs offense five snaps in the first quarter of the game. That's such an absurd stat, but the meticulousness of the Temple offense literally kept the Mustangs offense off the field. The drives the Temple Wildcats produced in the first half of the game, were some of those long wear and tear drives that kill defenses.

Also, I discussed with Coach Stewart that their win was a bit of shocker. Well not a shocker that they won, but amount that they won by. Coach Stewart said, "When you can force three turnovers early like we did, the game can get away from you in a hurry."

After that convincing win, life doesn't get any easier as the Wildcats have to face the Port Arthur Memorial Titans this Friday at Prairie View A&M University. The Wildcats are no strangers to the Titans, as they faced them in last year's playoffs. The Wildcats beat the Titans last year by a score of 38-7, and are definitely hoping to repeat history once again.

Coach Stewart and Coach Farrell both discussed to me how fast these guys are as a team. Coach Stewart said, "This will be one of the fastest and most athletic teams we will play against this season by far."

They have a great quarterback who likes to throw the ball around, and is also mobile which brings another dual-threat that we will have to find an answer for. Also, their skill players have out of this world quickness and speed that we haven't seen this year. It's definitely a polar opposite from what we saw last week, but Coach Stewart definitely feels his team will be ready for the challenge.

The game once again, will take place at Prairie View A&M University, and kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.. It's just a little over two hours away, and our Wildcats will need a sea of blue cheering them on at Panther Stadium.
