Flames Engulf Barn in Central Texas

The windy conditions we have been dealing with in the Central Texas area fanned the flames of a dangerous situation juts outside of Killeen Monday.

KWTX's Alex Cano reported that a fire destroyed a barn in Central Texas on Monday afternoon.

The fire occurred on the outskirts of Killeen at 656 Mountain Creek Road and was reported around 12:30 p.m.. The gusty winds caused the fire to spread rapidly, covering the barn in flames and causing them to spread to excess grass and brush near the barn.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
