Flash Flood Warning in Bell County till 4:30 p.m. Tuesday

KWTX's Weather Team has reported that a Flash Flood Warning is presently takiong place in Bell County.

The Flash Flood Warning for Bell County will be taking place until 4:30 p.m..

At around 1:32 p.m., the Doppler radar shows that heavy rain will be over the Bell County area along Interstate 35. The storm hitting the area is just standing over the Bell County area, and around two inches of rain has already fallen on the area.

There are warnings about an additional one to three inches potentially expected in the Bell County area.

The rainfall will lead to flash flooding if it does take place. Low-lying areas will be quite vulnerable to rapidly rising water. Also, some low-water crossings may flood, and should not be driven upon.

Locations in the Central Texas area that could be affected are, Temple, Belton, Nolanville, Morgan`s Point Resort, Bartlett, Salado, Little River-Academy, Troy, Rogers and Holland.

If you see flooded roads, don't drown turn around. Most deaths involved in floods take place in vehicles. Drive cautiously, and be smart on the roads!
