Former Centex City Councilman Dies in Car Accident

KWTX reported that a former city councilman in the Central Texas area died in a car accident on Friday.

Killeen authorities said the man killed in the car accident was 81-year-old Larry Cole. The crash Cole was involved in took place at the 4300 block of Stan Schlueter Loop around 5 a.m. Friday morning.

Emergency crews rushed Cole to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, but he would eventually pass away from injuries sustained from the crash.

Authorities are still investigating on the crash, and the former Killeen city councilman was pronounced dead at 12:22 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
