Harker Heights Man Arrested in Fatal Autopedestrian Accident From 2016
The Bell County District Attorney's Office agreed with the police that there was enough evidence in a hit-and-run case to make an arrest.
KWTX is reporting that Richard Anthony Salinas, 36, of Copperas Cove was arrested Friday evening on a warrant from an accident that happened in 2016.
It was in August of 2016 that Parker James Leporin-Vazquez was struck by a vehicle, and later died from his injuries.
It seems the initial investigation had some sketchy details, but an observant off duty officer was able to help identify the vehicle and driver, allowing the forensic investigation to continue.
Salinas was arraigned Saturday morning by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke, and his bond was set at $1 million.
So Bell County residents, keep an eye out for a jury summons. You just might get a big case.
