Join the Community for an Outdoor Movie in Harker Heights, Texas
If you're looking for something fun to do in Harker Heights, Texas tonight, Carl Levin Park is the place to be. The folks at HH Parks & Rec will be hosting a free outdoor movie screening.
Film and Food Fridays returns, packed full of family fun. The last time I went to this event, the park was completely packed with people. This event is always one that I try to let parents know about because it not only gets our video game-loving children out of the house, but it's free.
So, I called the organizers to ask what the movie was going to be tonight. Right now, it's a coin toss between Elf and Miracle on 34th Street. Hey, you can't go wrong either way (though I'm secretly hoping for Elf).
The movie's scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, but I recommend arriving early so you can stake out a nice spot to set up your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, etc. Again, it's free to get in and you can bring snacks, but they'll have concessions for sale too.
If being indoors is more your thing, the Beltonian Theatre in Belton is screening Elf and other holiday classics like Die Hard and Home Alone 2 this holiday season. I bring it up because I only recently visited that theater for the first time, and it is so beautiful. It's a vintage movie house that's locally owned and operated, and they love screening the classics. Check them out here.
