The summer that was just around the corner just jumped out to blast us with record high temps, and it’s getting pretty hot in Killeen, Texas. Nothing quenches the thirst of a Texan more than a refreshing iced tea - particularly sweet tea. Lucky for us there's a place that specializes in our favorite Southern beverage, and it's about to open up shop here.

HTeaO IS COMING TO KILLEEN, TEXAS

Killeen's got plenty of good bars, but get this - what if I told you there's a tea bar coming to town?

HTeaO is coming to 4219 South Clear Creek Road very soon, and you better be ready to get your sip on, Central Texas.

TEA TIME CENTRAL TEXAS!

I first heard about this establishment on TikTok. Videos of people talking about how good it is had gone viral, and I thought maybe this was a brand new place. It turns out they're a business started right here in Texas back in 2009, and they've got quite an impressive menu.

There are so many different types of ways you can drink iced tea. I like mine with a lemon twist, while others like it so sweet you'd swear there's an entire bag of sugar in the glass. If you're feeling adventurous though, HTeaO's got teas infushed with watermelong, raspberry, ginger, and even mint.

HTeaO is an establishment that boasts up to 27 flavors of tea. That’s right - 27 different flavors of delicious, refreshing tea where you can mix and match whatever you like and even put delicious toppings on your drink like fruit.

When I view the menu, I think two things: 1) this place is going to have really big success in our city, and 2) why didn’t I think of this myself?

We don’t have a specific opening date yet, but I'll be keeping an eye out and will let you know ASAP. We have plenty of great coffee shops around here (btw, HTeaO serves coffee too), but it's about time we got a place with Texas roots that knows how to serve some ice-cold tea to help us survive a Lone Star summer.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
