Be Of Good Cheer! The 2021 Killeen, Texas Christmas Parade Is On

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right: the holidays are coming up, and now the Killeen Christmas Parade is literally just around the corner.

If you’re in the Killeen area, you are aware of the wonderful Christmas parade that we have each year. Now, due to COVID-19, it hasn’t been as big and talked about, and last year's parade substitute was cancelled due to low entries and COVID safety concerns.

Now that more people are being vaccinated and the city is opening back up, we are having the 58th Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 11.

By the way, this announcement is brought to you by Killeen Parks & Rec, and the event will take place in Downtown Killeen. The parade will start at 1 PM, if you’ve never gone to the Christmas parade in Killeen, you are truly missing out and this your chance to make good!

I went every year as a little girl, and now I take my son. All the community's best companies and organizations are in the parade and serve candy to all of the children, so of course the babies enjoy it. For me personally, I just like the idea of the whole family being together and getting to see what our community is all about.

There’s so much unity and joy that goes into this event, if you’re thinking about entering the parade with your company, you still have time.

It’s a truly amazing event, and of course the grand finale is the jolly ol' fat man himself, Santa Claus. He passes out his candy and the kids go absolutely bonkers.

It’s totally free, so come out and show your Christmas spirit.

If you just can't wait 'til the 11th, there'll be more holiday fun in Killeen to look forward to as well.

The City of Killeen is hosting Holiday Under the Stars Friday through Sunday, December 3rd through 5th. There'll be a tree lighting, live music, food trucks, winter-themed fun and activities, and lots of great vendors.

Just like the parade, Holiday Under the Stars will happen in Downtown Killeen. Make plans to share this special event with your family.
