Killeen City Council is giving residents options for attending their latest meeting and keeping informed of what's going on in the city.

To help slow the spread of COVID-19, you'll be able to attend this month's City Council Meeting virtually. While you can still attend in person, the virtual option is for anyone wary of being in potentially crowded public places during the ongoing pandemic.

Residents who wish to attend in person must register in advance no later than Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm.

If you are interested in being a virtual speaker, you must also submit a request in order to receive special instructions to join the meeting. They'll note that you have something you'd like to say and call on you when it's time for you to voice your concerns or ask questions.

Citizens attending the meeting virtually can click here for access.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 6 PM EST at 101 N College St, Killeen.

If you choose to go to the meeting in person, remember to wear a mask and give others as much physical space as possible. It'd be a good idea to wash or sanitize your hands after you leave before you have the chance to touch your face and risk infecting yourself.
It's good to know that these meetings remain public and that citizens can still sign up to speak at them. Check out the sign-up links above if you're interested in attending and would like to address the council.
