Killeen Woman Killed in Saturday Night Shooting
Killeen police are searching for a suspect they say fatally shot a woman on Stallion Drive late Saturday night.
Police responded to the 4000 block of Stallion Dr. around 11:45 after receiving reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found 31-year-old Christina Yvette McDaniel lying unresponsive on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. McDaniel wasn’t breathing, and attempts to resuscitate her failed. She was declared dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined that McDaniel accompanied a resident of 4008 Stallion to the home, where that resident and a man began arguing. The man and McDaniel began arguing at some point, and the man brandished a handgun and shot her before fleeing.
Police say they know the suspect’s name, but have not yet released it. Anyone with information is asked to call 254-526-TIPS (8477).
