Killeen Woman’s Food Truck Wasn’t Stolen After All, It was Repossessed
You may remember last week I reported a Killeen woman's food truck was stolen from her driveway.
Turns out it wasn't stolen, and reportedly she knew it was repossessed before she filed a police report.
KWTX reports that Rosalind Edwards was arrested Saturday and then posted $5000 bail for filing a false police report.
According to a press release, Killeen Police Commander Ronnie Supack confirmed that an investigation showed the food truck was repossessed by its owner because Edwards "had not fulfilled her obligations when she purchased the food truck".
Edwards told police that she chased the alleged thief in her car after seeing her food truck being driven off.
Police say Edwards bought the trailer from an individual and promised to pay her debt after her business was underway.
