Make Sure to Shop Local for Small Business Saturday
Black Friday, a day for businesses to bounce from the red and into the black, is just days away. With all the options both in-store and online, the deals are huge this year. The big box stores will no doubt be the place to spend lots of hard earned money on gifts for the entire family.
With all the specials and deals and huge savings happening for Black Friday this year, those big box stores will once again be one of the busiest places on the planet.
But let's not forget about Small Business Saturday, an opportunity for local businesses to rebound from a pandemic and a recovering jobs market.
Here in Central Texas, Small Business Saturday is just that opportunity local businesses have been waiting for - a chance to regain some of the financial help they desperately need. During the pandemic, many of the small businesses have had to let go of staff or even shut down because of the stay at home orders and the unemployment rate skyrocketing.
It's more important this year than ever to shop local!
According to Downtown Temple, there are plenty of locally owned shops, and restaurants offering some good Small Business Saturday deals.
The Parlour Antiques and Oddities on Main Street will have a "shop local" party complete with free snacks and beverages, plus a hot chocolate bar. Be sure to hurry in because, the first 6 customers on Saturday will receive free swag bags.
Darling Décor & More, also on Main Street, is giving away a Christmas dish with every purchase of $20 or more, plus savings on jewelry, signs, Christmas florals, dish towels, and more.
There's plenty of great shopping to be had in downtown Temple at 2nd Street Emporium, Relics Antique Mall, Twice Upon a Clothesline Consignment Shop, and The Hub.
Small Business Saturday is this Saturday so make sure to save some room for the local businesses right here in Temple. #ShopLocal
