McLane Children's Scott & White Hospital is asking for the public's help to replenish their supply of toys for a therapeutic play room.

As part of the Child Life Program, the play room is used for therapy and rehab for young patients before surgery and during extended stays. Its overall purpose is to reduce stress and anxiety in order to make each child's hospital experience feel as safe and normal as possible. The hospital is accepting donations at the lobbies of the McLane Children's and Memorial locations, as well as the Killeen clinic.

Scott & White also has an online wishlist with the Starlight Children's Foundation. There, monetary donations go toward more expensive equipment the hospital hopes to buy in order to offer fun and comfort to patients.
